Senior Alternative Assets Manager
M. Keith Garrison is the Senior Alternative Assets Manager for the Texas Christian University Endowment, a position he has held since November 2007. He is responsible for directing the investment process for private equity, real assets, and other private market investments including policy/strategy development, due diligence underwriting, and portfolio management. Target allocations for alternatives include 15% for Private Equity, 46% for Real Assets, 12% for Minerals and Energy, and 5% for Opportunistic. Mr. Garrison worked for the Teacher Retirement System of Texas since September 1989 serving as a real estate asset manager, chief asset manager, Director of Real Estate and, at the time of his departure, Director of Private Markets. His prior experience includes lending positions with two commercial banks in the Austin area. Mr. Garrison earned a BBA in finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1980 and the Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management in 1998.
